Midweek Pick-Me-Up #7
As the dream faded, she chased it, forlorn. She chased it through meadows and forests, she chased it through streets, alleys, and through the hands of time, merry-go-round, she chased it in earnest, and when she finally caught-up with the dream, she chased forlorn out of it too. She stopped running, rolled into a blueberry, started to grow on a bush, outside of her window, and a bear was there. This is what the bear said, I've come to eat you because I love blueberries. And she replied, I've never been inside the belly of a bear. Where will I live?
My tummy, I think, replied the bare. And the blueberry imagined the belly of the bear: a fireplace, jam, an armchair and a bookcase, salmon in a pond, a honeycomb bed and she thought, It won't be so bad.
