Dear Sasho Eppler,
Yesterday we visited you at the cemetery. It’s been three years since you moved away, to play music in the Heavens. I’m writing to let you know that our labour of love “Kaval Park” is finished. Yes, the documentary film we started to make together in 2016 is finally done!
You’ve probably been busy composing your reincarnation so I appreciate you answering my prayers and editing the film with me. Your presence and guidance from the Thereafter was truly felt. “Kaval Park” is my longest film by far, clocking in at 100 minutes. I like to imagine it as total immersion. A celebration of Bulgarian culture and spirit you so much loved.
We held a pre-pre screening with Executive Producer Bulgarian Society PCHELA. Evelina shared the film brought about a catharsis in her. Rumen said he cried twice. You did it, Sasho! You moved people even from the other shore of Life.
We’re now planning the world premier and tour for “Kaval Park”. I’m writing this letter as an open invitation for all of our friends and family to get on the waitlist for tickets. (If they’re already subscribed to this newsletter, they’re all set.)
I promise to do all in my power to share the film with as many Bulgarians and our American friends as possible.
Love,
Bogdan
P.S. I started to play the kaval again.
