Midweek Pick-Me-Up

new series introduction

Hi friends,

John, who is fifteen and whom I mentor twice a week, introduced me to The Most Dangerous Writing App. It works like this:

• Generate a prompt

• Write for 5 minutes without stopping

• If you hesitate or slow down the screen goes blurry and you have to start over

I started to use the App on my desktop to warm-up for longer writing sessions. John and I also use it when we meet. We read our rough drafts created in the App and the following week we read our edited and final creations.

This gave me the idea to start a Midweek Pick-Me-Up series and share it with you. Why? because I love writing and love being in touch through sharing my literary creations. Especially since it will be a bit before my novel “Eurydice” is ready.

Expect the first pick-me-up this Wednesday. The stories will always be generated by a prompt (in bold), will be written in 5 minutes and thus will be pretty short. Read them with your Wednesday morning coffee, on your lunch break or when you wish to turn worldly matters into otherworldly inspiration.

Sundays remain reserved for longer emails now and then. And since today is Sunday, I invite you to watch this incredible video with author Ray Bradbury.
