Our roots run deep into the fabric of humankind.
I took the following twenty four portraits at a benefit for musicians affected by the mandates in Seattle where vaccine passports are now required to participate in society. The audience numbered over a hundred people. Many shared they were not comfortable getting in front of the camera. They were still hoping the zero tolerance climate would shift, avoiding confrontations with co-workers, faculty, landers, family and friends.
Regardless of your worldview, consider yourself invited to meet those who generously shared themselves with the camera. They were not asked about their vaccination status. Instead, they were invited to share in the most powerful language of all - the human face.
My hope is that by recognizing ourselves in the face of another, we can engage in inspired dialogue that brings us together. I invite you to take the time to gaze in the eyes of the people in the portraits. To get to know them. And by getting to know them to pick-up and weave the fabric of humankind across your community.
